Magnets are used in electric motors, the concept is very simple. A central magnet is held in the middle while smaller electromagnets surround it. And polar wheel which they are attached, rapid changes in the wheel rotation caused by the electromagnet.
Starter motor and alternator contains a lot of crank magnet motors and power generation. Fuel injectors contain magnets as do all the solenoids used for stuff like cruise control, vacuum lines, turbo boost controllers, etc.
Many magnets are also used on rotating parts as pieces of sensors using in timing motion.
